Homestay at Macalister 218 Georgetown by WL

Modern, tidy, centrally located and good value for money

Pros: Location is great - close to food and quite central.

Cons: The mattress for the bed are saggy- not comfortable to lie on

Pros: The property was awesome! They are truly honest, because my daughter left iPad and EarPod md they screen shot sent us no saying out we left it here. Thereafter we go again to macalister for collections. Thank you very much and highly recommended.

Pros: There is a team of host mending our stay and they are always 24/7 replying to our WhatsApp group message. All the comments highlighted were addressed immediately. Don’t know about the previous bad comments posted by the guests but we feel that it’s a wonderful stay and my family love it a lot. There are 2 mattress which can be laid in the living room to sleep on. The accessories provided by the host are well-maintained and good working conditions. We can also access many different countries channels from TV set-up box. The view from the living room is beautiful as it’s facing towards Penang Hill. There is also a security guard at the front counter and secured lobby so that the property couldn’t be access easily by outsiders. The apartment is within vicinity when using taxi booking service (grab) via online app. We are looking forward to stay here again if we do visit Penang, Georgetown again.

Cons: Nothing but great if there is a washing machine so that we can wash our clothes as ours is almost a week stay. We can bring lesser clothes to change.

Pros: Very comfortable space, well kept and clean, easy to access and very exvellent and friendly host, will definitely repeat our stay if we come upnorth to Penang again!

Would defo stay again

Pros: Love the check-in, check-out + deposit process. I had on multiple occasions that I had to wait for the host to turn up and in almost missed the flight. With the host non contact process, all of the above could be eliminated. The instructions (with photo) were very detailed and clear (in Malay, English and Mandarin). The unit is (the two rooms actually) facing the gurney beach and they look stunning. You could also see the pool directly from the room and could determine when is the suitable time to go to the pool. The pool also is facing to the sea. The unit is huge (3 bedrooms 2 baths) with firm beddings and the unit is tastefully decorated. The airco also works well for all of the rooms. Clean bathroom with huge bottle of shampoo/shower gels. The water pressure is good as well.

Cons: Not the unit/host issue but getting to the parking spot was nauseating. You have to drive in spiral for like 6 floors. If you have light headed passengers, drop them off at the lobby first. Lobby could be a bit cram during check-in check-out time. Thankfully, the host informed us about the situation, and we adapt to the schedule accordingly.

Pros: very near many eateries. very convenient location. Right next to Ghee Hiang.

Cons: the ramp to the carpark. fortunately this unit's car park is up to lvl 3 which is the 1st landing. Previous stay was up to lvl 6.

Pros: comfortable stay for family, location is strategic, electric point is having problem and the person incharge is solve it quickly

Pros: Self check in is very easy. The owner will inform the details in advance. The room is clean.
