Pros: Simple yet very clean and attentive to your needs as a guest. I received ear plugs since across the street is a lively hostel, but ended up not using them. Mosquito repellent tables were also provided and. Location is great, and I loved that it s not on the main road crossing Tanah Rata, so the location is really calm during the day. A simple breakfast is provided and that is just very sweet. Norman is just a really great host.

Pros: The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The facilities were AMAZING!!! The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, plates/bowls/cups/cutlery, toaster and microwave for guests to use. Tea and coffee is provided complimentary. Norman greeted us when we arrived and was extremely knowledgeable about the activities to do in the area he even had a map with all of the walking/hiking trails. The toilets and showers were outside but always kept very clean and there was even shampoo and body wash provided. Overall, the perfect stay and amazing value for money!!!!

Pros: Norman is an outstanding host - we found this was a really special, comfortable stay in an excellent location. The accommodation is somehow both no frills and incredibly comfortable with lots of very thoughtful extra details (earplugs, flip flops, light breakfast, a calm social space with games, discount at a local coffee place, and lots of information and advice re local tourism, hiking, and so on). We also booked a tour recommended by Norman which we absolutely loved. It’s nearby a busy backpackers bar which is fun to visit - it can be noisy into the evening but stopped around midnight (and the earplugs really help mitigate any disruption!). We’d recommend The Rustique to everyone and only hope one day we can come back!

Pros: Had such a lovely stay here! Norman is the kindest sweetest man, he really makes you immediately feel relaxed and at home. He gave us such helpful recommendations for CH and the rest of our travels. Also- the tours Norman recommends are the cheapest I could find anywhere and were fab! The rustique guesthouse has literally everything you could need- umbrellas, earplugs, hairdryers, prayer mats literally everything. Breakfast of cereal and toast was perfect and teas and coffees are there to help yourself to at anytime. The guesthouse is lovely and clean. Shared toilets and showers and nice and spacious so your stuff doesn’t get wet. They’re cleaned often and showers are lovely and hot! Location is great- easy walking distance to restaurants yet set back enough to feel like a peaceful retreat!

Pros: It’s a very nice place. Norman is just an amazing host. He provide us many advices and tips. Always smiling, it’s very nice to speak with him. You can go to the bar just in front of the house, and also rent some motorbike

Cons: If you’re seeking for a big complexe with swimming pool, you’re not in the good place. But if you’re searching for a place local, quiet, nice and at a human size you should book it. That’s not a five star fancy hostel, that just a simple local house. We really enjoy our stay and the quiet place it was

Pros: I had a fantastic stay at Norman’s guest house. The place is really clean, perfectly located, and comfortable. Norman is an exceptional host, warm, attentive, and welcoming from the very first minute. He genuinely cares about his guests and makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend staying here, it’s a real gem if u are in tanah rata!

Pros: The warm welcome of Norman made it feel like home when we arrived. His place is clean and got the things you need for a good stay. The way Norman helped us out with anything and the nice chats we had together can't give our stay less than 5 stars!

Pros: A lovely, cozy and peaceful stay. Despite the nearby bar, we slept soundly every night! The hot shower was perfect — stable water pressure and temperature made each shower pure bliss, even with the bathroom set a little apart from the rooms.

A great stay for a good price!

Pros: The acomodation is located a few minutes from the main road. It is in a quiet location, so there is no much noise or people walking by, but it is fast and easy to get to the shops and restaurants. In front there is a scooter rental facility, that is very useful to explore the Hills! The room was big and comfortable, with a comfy bed, a table with chair. The toilets and showers are outside, but are clean and come with soap and shampoo. There is a kitchen with a fridge where to keep personal food. The host is a lovely person, such a great guy! He offers coffe and tea all the day, and a simple breakfast with toasted bread, jam and butter. Amazing experience!
