Enjoyed my time here!

Pros: I had a great stay here! The staff were very kind and the location of the accommodation is excellent. I really enjoyed staying here, it offers great value for money.

Cons: The room could use a bit of renovation, but it wasn’t too bad. However, there was no glass in the window frame, which made the room quite noisy.

Authentic Heritage Charm & Outstanding Hospitality!

Pros: Staying at Cintra House was the highlight of my time in George Town. It’s a beautifully preserved heritage building that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of everything, surrounded by the best street food and art. But what truly set this stay apart was the staff. They were incredibly kind and flexible. If you want a stay with soul and character, this is the place. I can't wait to return!

Simple, but clean and comfy

Pros: It’s very simple, but comfy and clean, with good AC. Really beautiful old house. Great location. Lovely owners and staff.

Charming heritage house with old world rustic charm

Pros: It’s rustic old world charm and homely hospitality was very welcoming and comforting

Pros: I like the guesthouse antique structure with open air garden. It has a common area that let guests can relax rather than stay in room only. It has a great location with awasome food around like raw fish porridge, seafood noodle, street food are all within walking distance. The room is spacious for a family to stay with comfy bed and worth the price. I would come back again if I visit Penang in future.

Cons: The guesthouse is located next to a bar so if someone is a light sleeper might need to consider that u will heard music at night.

Beautiful old guesthouse with the nicest staff.

Pros: It's a lovely old Chinese house full of character right in the middle of the Unesco part. Staff were so friendly and nice. I also didn't expect the free breakfast which was very tasty.

Cons: Nothing really. An old house has it's small problems but I was prepared for it not being hyper modern.

Pros: Beautiful historic building. Low key and friendly. Hassle free.

Cons: Like many hotels in Malaysia, some of the fittings and bits and pieces are tired. But on this occasion the old building was ample compensation.

Old world charm with amazing service.

Pros: I loved the old world house and home feel with the comfort of your own bathroom. The owners and staff are so kind and friendly.

Cons: Nothing. It was exactly as I expected.

Loved my stay at Cintra House!

Pros: The house is beautiful. The people looking after the place & the guests are kind & courteous. The location is excellent. The home-cooked style breakfast is wholesome. The never-ending banana bread & 24-hour access to water, coffee & tea extremely helpful. I stayed for 4 nights & on the 5th day, I had a late flight. So had requested for a late checkout. Since my room was not booked for the day, the owner let me stay as soon as I liked before I had to head to the airport. Such kindness!

Cons: Little to dislike really! Just bring your own toiletries & a water bottle;

Highly recommend for a characterful stay in George Town’s UNESCO centre.

Pros: Very characterful guesthouse with warm and friendly staff. Excellent location.

Cons: Older style facilities which I found charming.
