PARKROYAL Penang Resort

Pros: Best hotel I have ever been to. So clean, the facilities were amazing and the breakfast was stunning.

With the exception of the above comment we both had a great time.

Pros: Great accommodation, friendly, polite staff, always helpful.

Cons: Queues at breakfast. Apart from Paula and l, we were disappointed in the rudeness of some of the guests, pushing and acting inconsiderately toward other guest. Perhaps they too were feeling frustrated and the difficulties and queues at breakfast.

Most probably the most perfect resort in the neighbourhood, by far!

Pros: The most beautiful resort on the stretch, very much living up to its name of a 'royal park'. The outdoors are gorgeous and green, with a perfect layout, loads of space for sun beds, two large, perfect outdoor swimming pools, a great outdoors bar with view to the beach, and great access to the beach. The hotel lobby is equally splendid and spacious. Just if as importantly, the staff were super friendly, welcoming and professional (special thanks to the terrific cleaning staff!). The tasty restaurants have something for everyone, there's a superb breakfast, and the hotel is on the stretch of the road with many other cafes, if you feel like exploring. There are also amazing massages and a super handy in-house beach store. I'm sure I'm missing things as there's so much we liked :)

Cons: Because it's such a busy place sometimes the food took a while (30+ min) to be ready, but that's understandable and the staff can make sure things go a bit quicker if you have a good reason. Sometimes certain fruit and fresh coconuts would run out, which was a pity but again totally understandable in such a large place. So all this is not something that we didn't like, but just a note for travellers on what to possibly expect.

Pros: The staff are very good, friendly and pleasant. From check-in until check-out and throughout our stay, staff are consistent in providing excellent service.

Pros: If I could rate this hotel higher than ten I would. The rooms, the absolutely exceptional staff, the range of foods on offer both at breakfast and throughout the various restaurants at every minute of the day cannot be faulted. I have stayed in many top class hotels over the years and this is without doubt the best of them all. Every room was taken but it never felt crowded or rushed and there was always plenty of room in the pool and garden areas to sit or to sunbathe as desired.

Cons: There is nothing not to like.

Pros: Room was fabulous. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Probably the best staff I have ever come across. The food in the hotel was also very good.

Cons: The fireworks. All hours of the morning. And small children in the adult pool and not in the children's pool which was ample big enough.

Amazing 5* experience.

Pros: The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in! The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The staff were very responsive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was more than ample but busy. The location is very central to everything.

Cons: Nothing, it was all lovely.

Pros: The hotel was fantastic very clean and well maintained. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for you. The location is great with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Overall we'd certainly love to return!

Cons: Breakfast was very chaotic at peak times and sometimes food couldn't be replenished quickly enough.
