Sunrise Gurney

Great place to stay.

Pros: The design and layout. Location is ideal, and the property is clean.

Cons: Sound proofing is poor, premises (floor) gets dusty and needs cleaning alternate days. Mopsand cleaning fluids are provided, a vacuum would be more practical for quick clean. Common bathroom on the lower floor of the duplex is not designed ideally. The whole bathroom gets wet due to small area shared with WC. There’s a built in oven and stove but no microwave. Assigned parking lot has a huge extraction vent assembled lower than average ceiling height and we need to exercise caution every time when we park.

Excellent location, easy check-in and check-out process

Pros: Location is great: close to Gurney Bay for a good walk / jog and some fresh air, close to a mosque, considerably close to a nasi kandar restaurant. For Muslims, there's a nearby muallaf café, open for breakfast. Units are spacious, great for big families. View is nice too: you can see sunrise! Check-in and check-out process is easy. Guards know what to do and can even guide you.

Cons: There was some musty smell when we first entered the units. Suggest providing a floor mat for the bathrooms, and perhaps adding a sofa on the upper floor for the bigger unit for more comfort. The pool is not kid-friendly. Suggest informing beforehand so that families don't come disappointed.

Pros: Located infront of gurney garden. Near to Masjid. Near to halal restaurant.

A very comfortable place to stay

Pros: This is my second visit to Sunrise Gurney, the location is very convenient for going either to George Town or the beach.

Cons: There is no shower screen to prevent water spraying all over the room. It would have been helpful if a squeegee was provided to scrap off the water in order to keep the floor dry.

Pros: Beautiful seaview, super convenient location and food is everywhere!

Pros: Good sea view and the room and the bed is comfortable.

Cons: 1. The downstair washroom door lock is Defective and need to replace 2. No chair in the upstairs room and I have to sit On the bed. 3. The bedroom and the washroom windows need to add a grill or hinge to limit the Opening of the window to avoid the small Children open the window and fall down

Outstanding View

Pros: Excellent location, cozy vibe environment with great sea view and convenient to travel to attraction places in penang. Easy access to everywhere and best sunset. Highly recommend this apartment and it's one of the best so far for me. Thank you 🙏🏽

Awesome stay in Gurney Penang

Pros: Clean, spacious and comfortable stay with nice views. Very convenient as eateries and malls are just within walking distance.

It was a comfortable stay with nice view, I really liked the hotel-style white towels and bedsheets.

Pros: We truly enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, the view was simply breathtaking, and the house was very comfortable and welcoming. It felt just like home, and we would definitely love to come back again.

Cons: The only downside was that we couldn’t get the key at the stated 3pm check-in time because the cleaning was not yet done. When we asked, we were told the previous guest had checked out late. This was quite inconvenient as we were traveling from far with kids. We feel the host and guests should be more responsible with the agreed timing to avoid such delays.

Overall we are happy and satisfied with our stay at this property.

Pros: The cleanliness of the property and the security of the building. The setup is nice for family of 6 staycation. All basic necessities are provided such as toiletries (shampoo & body wash), hangers, iron board, hair dryer (2 units), water dispenser, kitchenware, oven, washing machine, etc.

Cons: The limitation is only 1 parking lot per unit. Should include floor wiper scraper for the toilet.
