Aayu Melayu - George Town Penang

Love it.

Pros: It’s really value for money - location and facilities are great. I liked how the management would organise little tours and activities for guests to join too.

Cons: Shared bathrooms can cause a bit of a jam logistics wise but all things considered , a small inconvenience.

Pros: The location is absolutely perfect! It was very easy to walk around the centre of Georgetown and make a occasional stop at the accommodation for freshing up or dropping things off. The staff is also very helpful, and they have a google maps link ready with all the hotspots and recommended dining areas. Room was clean, and though there was no window I did not miss it.

Cons: There was 1 toilet, and I had the bad luck of it being occupied often and for a long time. If there were multiple bathrooms available I would give it a 10 star review.

Everything you want in a budget hotel.

Pros: For what they charge, they more than delivered. A nice clean room with high ceilings, reliable showers, and secure. The staff member gave me some very helpful advice on the town and where to go next. What more can you ask for?

Stylish colonial property in good central location

Pros: Stunning and tastefully refurbished Colonial property in a great central location. Close to good restaurants

Pros: I like the interior design of lobby. and it provides toothpaste, toothbrush and earplugs.

Nice stay to explore George Town

Pros: Location is great. Easy walk to all the main attractions, the bus terminal and the mall. Laundry machine, filtered water and fridge available. Clothes rack in the room is nice. Staff very friendly easy to communicate over WhatsApp.

Cons: My room was very small, wouldn’t have been big enough for 2 people but there is a 2 person bed nonetheless taking up all the space. AC very loud and not super cold because the room is not insulated in any way bc it’s so old. Rest of the building is also warm. Indeed the building is wood so makes noise but it’s ok with earplugs. A single electric stove would have been very nice.

Pros: Amazing location, nice kitchen area, whole place very clean, check in was easy

Cons: Room was a little small for two people, but comfortable for two nights

Pros: This is a very nice heritage house in the heart of Georgetown, perfectly located for sightseeing. The communication with the host was excellent and overall our stay there was very pleasant.

Cons: The bed mattress could be a bit more comfortable. Also keep in mind that your experience can depend on the behaviour of other guests.

Pros: the staff was very helpful and friendly (we were booking for the wrong dates and it was easily changed) overall clean and in the center of george town

Pros: Location within Georgetown is strategic. Setting is pleasantly quaint and the solo rooms are relatively spacious. Staff are friendly and responsive.
