Masson Hotel Butterworth

Pros: The hotel is just across the Sunway Carnival Mall, which is very convenient. I booked this hotel because it was just within walking distance from Sunway Hospital in Penang, and the price is quite friendly.

Cons: They don't provide any extra bed and the refrigerator is not available in every rooms, only the bigger rooms. The elevator is quite slow.

Great for short simple stay, minimal decor/furniture. Handy 7/11 next door or mall for anything needed.

Pros: Great location next to the Sunway mall, not far from Georgetown ferry.

Cons: Very basic room. No kettle, bedside tables, limited window

Pros: Didn't have breakfast there. Food choices very limited

Convenient and comfortable

Pros: The location of this hotel is perfect, just across Sunway Carnival Mall. The mall itself it's still new and quite complete. I went there because the hotel is also just within walking distance to Sunway Penang Hospital. So, it's very convenient.

Cons: I think, the staff can clean the bathroom better. During my stay there, more than a week, they don't really mop or clean the bathroom floors. Otherwise, it's all good.

Comfortable Stay

Pros: Located just across the Sunway Carnival Mall, so it's very convenient to get food and to shop. The mall is quite new but complete. The hotel is also nice, the room is very minimalist but comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back to this hotel again.

Cons: There are no refrigerator and safety deposit box in 20m rooms, but you can find them on the 25m room. The elevator is quite slow, more for loading elevator but that's okay.

Pros: check in process. i was arrived in the middle of night. receptionist awaiting for and process was smooth i can get to my room around 10 minute .

Cons: lift too small just can fit 4 person one time. location beside receptionist.

Value for money, but watch out for the bird poop and limited parking space.

Pros: - Interior design felt luxury for a “shop lot hotel” - The room i stayed in is spacious and the bathroom is super exquisite with gold touch ironmongeries. - Property location is on point; next to Sunway Carnival Mall and famous mamak stall

Cons: - I park overnight just in front of the property and there is a lot of bird poop on my car next morning. - Corridor to the rooms have a lot of scratches which is not sight-full. - Very hard to get parking over the day time

Great Options for Eating

Pros: Near to a mall, so many options of restaurants around and not too busy

Amazing

Pros: The entire hotel was cozy and nice. The shower was good with nice hot water, there was coffee and tea for the guest with the hot water machine placed just outside the room. The room was wide and comfortable. There was a hair dryer, bathroom was spacious, there was a place to keep toiletries, the room was secured with double security system. And all was working just fine. Will definitely return soon.

Cons: Nothing really.

Pros: Staffs are very friendly and respectful. Thank you for accepting one additional guest with no extra pay as we are staying due to family emergency. My family and I appreciate this very much. Location is great, very easy to get food around.

Cons: The single bed is too small and can only fit 1 person - understandable. No additional mattress can be provided. Would have been nice if this can be catered with reasonable charges.
