Beacon Executive Suites - George Town

Great pool, weird sign in rules, excellent value accommodation- no complimentary items.

Pros: The place was great for a family stay. Large rooms and fridge and washing machine a real bonus.

Cons: Terrible check in experience, I was contacted via WhatsApp- requesting photograph of passport / links to additional payments etc. I booked via booking.com so thought it was a scam! Standing outside in the smashing heat trying to ‘check-in’ was a 🤬 challenging experience! Also the single swipe key made getting around the building to car and pool difficult as we had to go all together or stay put until key holder came back.

Be aware of requested deposit

Pros: Great apartament, well located by Grab, clean, well kept.Oustanding Infinity pool.

Cons: You have to pay a deposit of RM300 via an outside system; they say refundable within 24h after checkout but it took almost two weeks to get it cancelled at my credit card (albeit they sent me a screenshot of deposit refunded the day after) At checkout you are asked to send in a bank account for the deposit transfer using a Google Form, even if you paid it by credit card. Communication is complicated as they do not respond quickly via WhatsApp (sometimes takes hours to get back at you).

Pros: It was clean and spacious. Check-in was easy. Check-out was easier. The rooms were in good conditions

Cons: Please provide towels and soap

Pros: The unit was very spacious and complete for my family. Very neat Interior design with awesome views of the city. Location was good, a short drive to the best of Penang. Good security.

Cons: The pillows, everything else was great.

Pros: Fairly spacious for 2 bedroom apartment. Kitchen stove, Microwave oven, Washing machine and Dryer, and Refrigerator were all new and good. Showers were good, strong water pressure.

Cons: The apartment block only have 2 lifts. Internet connection was a little slow. Would be great if the pillows are more \

Pros: Loved the view, location, and facilities. The host was very friendly and helpful.its a true executive suite.

Cons: The apartment building is nowhere near an ATM. Could do with 1 full length mirror.

The beautiful apartment on 13A

Pros: The apartment is beautifully decorated with a large leather sofa, 4 seater dining table and two tvs. There is abundant storage and space for luggage. The entry way before the front door was secure and perfect for shoes. The apartment is very secure and peaceful. The master bed is extremely comfortable with a firm pillow top mattress. The separate washer and dryer was fantastic for our family of 5 for 4 nights. Security to the facility is friendly diligent and helpful. The apartment is fitted with 4 air conditioning units and 3 overhead fans so it was very cool and comfortable. The floor to ceiling views for one of single bed in the living room I'd amazing. The rooftop pool has a secure check-in station for residents only and has amazing views and was very clean. Check-in was easy with the help of great communication and instructions from Louise.

Cons: The drainage system in the bathroom doesn't drain well and sometimes emits a smell when it hasn't been used in a while. I have found this issue with another apartment in KL. The handle to the main bedroom needs to be pulled up instead of pushed down....not bad, just something we needed to figure out. The back of the hotel is undergoing construction across the river...not bad, the area will look amazing in 2-5 years time.

Massive rooms, nice view, good value

Pros: Decent location, great new spacious apartment, great value Secure parking (only needed one of the two spots) Getting Key and checkout was simple and straightforward

Cons: A lot of the Apartment stays in Malaysia have this deposit thing which i did not figure out asking for a deposit paid into a Malaysian bank account, which would apparently take days, multiple days and then good luck with the refund as a foreign tourist without a Malaysian bank account

Nice condominium facility, but poor building service management

Pros: The location is at the centre, and the new condo comes with a gymnasium and a nice swimming pool. The place is clean and lovely.

Cons: Bathroom, water discharge very slow at the outlet so cause water ponding. Rubbish need to go to ground floor to throw, no rubbish collection daily, and the utility room at the floor is locked. Condo facility, but unfortunately, the service management of the building is not up yo standard.
