Nice hotel - but difficult area of Penang

Pros: Excellent direct connection to the Spice Convention Center. Bus stop with direct busses to George Town and airport available (30 minutes drive). The breakfast and pool are really nice.

Cons: The surrounding of the hotel is quite sad. No real infrastructure. It is difficult to just walk around because of the traffic and no real preparation for just walking around.

Pros: The breakfast has a wide range of selection and taste not too bad. The location was near to my work place. Easier to commute. I enjoyed my short stay.

Pros: Great location near the airport and minimarts. Breakfast spread was impressive with a good mix of Western, Malay, Indian, and Chinese options plus pastries. Facilities were clean and well maintained, with a lovely view (we even caught several fireworks!). Really appreciated the thoughtful effort to celebrate our special moments. Shoutout to Austin and Aisy for being so kind and helpful with food and sightseeing recommendations.

Pros: The foods, service & ambience. The hotel also fulfilled my request for a complimentary birthday cake for my mom's birthday. I am very blessed n grateful!

Overall, despite some shortcomings, I would still return to stay here.

Pros: The room is clean, and the housekeeping staff are helpful. The hotel facilities are impressive, especially the fitness center, which is well equipped with modern exercise equipment.

Cons: The Premium Reception staff, which serves only Onyx Premium members, were not very friendly. I feel that all hotel guests should be treated equally, regardless of their membership status. The hotel is located quite far from the city, so foreign travelers need to plan their trips carefully. Additionally, the breakfast buffet was below my expectations; the food quality could be improved, and I experienced mild food poisoning after the meal.
