The hotel is old physically, but young at heart.

Pros: The hotel is old. And majority of their staff are seniors. Perhaps they've been with the hotel for 30 years. But their hospitality: top notch.

Cons: Aircond not cold enough, but they sent standing fan. Overbooked, but they gave 2 rooms.

The hotel is very comfortable and enjoyable. Everything was great, and I really loved staying here.

Pros: The room was very comfortable,clean, well maintained and made our stay enjoyable.

Cons: The cafe - The café area is too small for the number of guests. During breakfast hours, it becomes very crowded. Please consider expanding the space and adding more tables.

Pros: Good for the price we paid. But it can be better if they can offer little bit Penang hawker foods every different day.

Cons: After 2.00pm, when we order Ala cart according to menu for lunch, the foods took too long to come out, and we are very hungry that time.

Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay in a great location,

Pros: I stayed at Berjaya Penang Hotel for one night (18–19 October) and had a really good experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with everything I needed for a short stay. The location in George Town was excellent — close to local restaurants, shops, and just a short drive to the main attractions. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of options, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Penang!

Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no hand bidet in the washroom. Other than that, everything was great, and I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Penang!

Good hotel

Pros: Nice hotel, good location short walk away from Gurney Plaza. A bit further away from Georgetown centre but short grab drive away. Room was nice and clean, breakfast was good and had many options

Cons: There were no plug sockets near the bedside tables/bed so that was a bit inconvenient. Only possible to charge at the desk or at a random spot on the wall near the floor. Not a big issue but would've been convenient
