Pros: It was a charming hotel in a great location in Little India old Georgetown. You could walk to everything in the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast lovely.

Cons: The noise. Unfortunately being an old building the walls were paper thin and you could hear the other guests moving around. Also the rubbish trucks at 2.30am and 5.30 am.

Pros: Beautiful restored boutique hotel in the middle of Georgetown, short walk to everything. Oozes atmosphere, lovely room, great breakfasts and menu, super staff. Ticks all the boxes for travellers looking for something different.

Exciting and exhausting (during Thaipusam)

Pros: Location was perfect for our needs. The room was spacious and the high ceilings throughout the building helped keep the atmosphere cool and relaxed. The history and the link to the Cheah Kongsi was interesting too.

Cons: We didn't know before we arrived that no shoes are allowed upstairs. This was a problem for me as I had plantar fasciitis while staying there, and the worst thing for me was to walk or stand on hard floors without arch support.

Amazing gem of a hotel to visit Georgetown

Pros: We had a delightful stay at this hotel. It’s truly a gem as it has been renovated with incredible care and respect for the history of the building. The interior is tastefully and coherently decorated. Staff is caring, polite and incredibly patient. Breakfast is exceptional with a selection of different local and international delicacies. Location is amazing as it’s right in Little India and walking distance to anywhere within Georgetown center. It’s close to many different cafes and restaurants. Getting a grab is very easy as well if you would like to venture further.

A real gem of a place at the heart of Little India to explore Penang.

Pros: Great location, extremely helpful and friendly staff. The decor was beautiful. A real home away from home. The food at the bistro was delicious and the staff couldn’t do any more to make us feel welcome. Special mention to Jolene, Aung and Jojo who always help with a smile, even when they were super busy.
