Happy in penang

Pros: The staff were amazing, helped when we needed it and were great to talk too. The breakfasts were really good and plentiful

Luxury nostalgia

Pros: Very nice hotel and nice location and view. It is facing the new gurney park right opposite and the view is very nice. I stayed here 10 years ago when it was Evergreen Laurel Hotel. The hotel today still keeping the old designs charms and it gives a nostalgic 1990s luxury feel. I enjoyed it very much and it gives sweet memories like the chandeliers and public phone booth (now without the phones). The rooms is spacious. Hotel is clean and no bad smells. Well maintained.

Enjoyed the stay

Pros: The hotel is in the best location. The facilities are good, include open swimming pool, gym and sauna/jacuzzi area. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the necessities provided. The staff was welcoming and professional. I also really liked the breakfast and common areas. Overall a very pleasant stay, would stay again

Cons: As I've read in the comments before I booked, the hotel does require some renovation and update, so I expected that. There was also a temporary power outage one of the days, which must be an extraordinary event, but it was handled well by staff

Pros: The location of this hotel is superb. Eating places are within walking distance. Love the park opposite. The hotel room is spacious.

Cons: The sofa in the hotel room is old. It sinks down when sit on. WiFi connection is weak.
