Pros: We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the amazing connection with nature. The nights were magical, filled with the sounds of the nearby rainforest. We stayed in a family room, and the beds were large and extremely comfortable, with a selection of different pillows to choose from. From the terrace, we could watch monkeys and admire the lush plants around us. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful in every way. Even the hill leading up to the accommodation, which we were a bit worried about because of the heat, was absolutely manageable and not a problem at all. The beach, as well as shops and restaurants, are just a short walk away. We highly recommend this accommodation to everyone.
Cons: We honestly couldn’t find a single negative thing about our stay.

Pros: Wonderful staff, helping with everything, the owner also took care of us from start to end! We didn’t use the swimming pool as the sea is just a couple of meters away

Wonderful 4D3N stay
Pros: Breakfast is good, and the atmosphere is very quiet and cozy, surrounded by trees with birds singing. It’s also close to the beach and restaurants. The accommodation is located at the top of a very steep hill. It’s best to rent a motorbike.

Gorgeous bungalows on a special little island
Pros: Beautifully constructed wooden bungalows. Very big and very clean and comfortable. The position on the top of the hill was lovely, looking down over the best beach area on the island.
Cons: Because you are high up near the forest, the bungalows can feel a little bit dark and the balcony does not look over the ocean, so we didn't sit outside much.

Pros: The room is excellent, location is impossible for senior citizens due to the high steep slope up to get to the property. The property should provide transport. I managed to get them to arrange the transport after heavy negotiations.
Cons: Breakfast is very poor

Come for the beach, stay for the trees!
Pros: For the discriminating traveller, Utan is the best, the only, place to stay in Teluk Nipah. The chalets are jungle lodge style, but with good AC. The four-poster bed with full net curtains are a great touch. You will be in a tranquil natural setting, with friendly staff, always ready with practical help and advice to make the most of your stay on Panghor. The bustling Bazaar and beaches are a few minutes walk away - great for hanging out and people watching before you return to Utan's forest calm.
Cons: I was happy to walk the steep hill between the Bazaar and the lodge a few times. But Utam is not accessible to anyone with mobility issues.

Pros: We loved the wooden cabin and the tea making facilities in the room. We loved the breakfast and Din brought more banana cake for me when it was all gone. The highlight was the morning a hornbill came and sat on a perch about two feet away from us while we were eating. It is very close to the beach where the sunsets were magnificent and close to restaurants
Cons: The hill to gain access is V ERY steep..but.this is very well flagged in description, photos and communications. When you climb the hill to reach the property , you then have to descend a lot of steps to your cabin, especially if your cabin is at the bottom. The cabins are also very close together. Some have small areas to sit outside, although ours didn't.

Highly recommend, would stay again
Pros: Great accomodation in cabins in jungle, not far from beach, up a steep hill but staff will help. It feels as if you’re in the wild but it’s very clean, comfortable bed, hot shower, good AC, spacious. Breakfast was nice, a good selection of food. Easy to get to via ferry from Lumut or Marina Bay. Pink taxis are fixed price on the island. RM25 from the ferry to Utan Teluk Nipah. Don’t miss the hornbill feeding as the sun goes down at Daddy’s cafe.

Worth the money and time
Pros: The location is good. Located at a hill side. View is amazing. One with nature. I got two vibes when i stayed here, island and jungle vibe. Breakfast was superb! Staff (Din) was helpful. Owner was very kind. I wrongly booked room for two. He let my kids stay without extra charge. Really appreciate the consideration.
Cons: This place is not for those who has problem walking.
