Lovely stay, worth the money

Pros: The parking is free, however you need to luck finding it first (if the one nearest to hotel is filled, you might have to walk a bit from your car to the hotel). The check in/check out process was very smooth. The receptionist on both days was very nice and kind. The room was nice. It's based on traditional build but still feel comfortable. However, the size is a bit packed so you might have trouble to move around. The location is also very good, very near to most Nasi Kandar, the alley tourist spot and terminal bus (11 min)

Cons: The size of the room is a bit small but not troublesome.

Pros: The staff were just lovely, the bed was super comfortable and lovely to have tea and coffee in the room. Staff also brought lemongrass tea and cake as a gift for Xmas and boxing days. The location is brilliant too, easy walking to many key spots, or taxi right outside. A beautiful historic building in a historic part of the city.

Cons: The room was so small, taken up so much by the 4 poster bed. Pity not to have a fridge but no room for it. Staff didn't speak much English, and No WhatsApp messaging available... So we had to communicate mostly through emails.

Wonderful stay

Pros: 1. Although it is a small hotel, it is clean and quiet. The first time that I have stayed in a so quiet hotel. 2. The security is also superb. Without the room card, you can't enter the level 2 of the hotel. 3. The gentlemen who man the counter both morning and night provide very good service. Good, keep it up!

Cons: 1. The water flow of the shower can be bigger for better flow. 2. A bottle of hand soap is placed beside the sink. 3. Provide face towel.

Charming and convenient heritage hotel, good value.

Pros: Location is great and it’s fun staying in a heritage hotel with nice decor and details. Loved the bed. The complimentary Netflix was a bonus.

Cons: The room was a little small (but fine for solo traveler). The staff were pleasant and competent on the basics, but couldn’t provide info about,eg, the best time to leave to catch a particular ferry, or recommendations on food in the neighborhood, etc. You need to be independent.

Lovely boutique hotel with very helpful staff

Pros: Lovely, old style boutique hotel with four-poster bed & very helpful staff. Set in a quiet backstreet in George Town but still with many eating places & bars within walking distance.

Cons: Hardly anything to be critical of.

Pros: A charming boutique hotel in heritage district—beautifully restored with vintage decor and modern comfort. Loved the serene courtyard, warm hospitality, and its perfect location amid historic streets. Would return!

Pros: It was wonderful to be included in the celebrations for Chinese New Year. The host is very welcoming and inclusive. The large shared table for guests in the cafe area is great as it's easy to engage with other travellers, particularly good for solo travellers. The location is great, very close to the centre where there's a lot going on.

Cons: This is an old house in the heritage area so has those limitations and character which I understand. The breakfast 'option' was only toast, which I don't eat, although there were oranges to buy which I had. An option to have eggs would be better.

The best stay in George Town

Pros: This is the best hotel I have stayed in Penang. This is an authentic heritage place over a hundred years old. The rooms are not big but comfortable, quiet, clean and has fast wi fi. The crew here are friendly and there is a cosy cafe on the ground floor and i had a great cappuccino , cakes there . The location of this small hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of George Town close to all famous street food and attractions. Highly recommended and I will be back for another stay soon!

Good Experience, Heritage Feel.. Room suited for couples.

Pros: The rooms were very clean. Staff were cordial and gave a lot of inputs. Good Cafe and great coffee... The location of this property is very close to the food streets and street art places..

Cons: There was a confusion in the check out time. As per booking.com the check out time was till 16th Sept 23.59, but as per the hotel check out has to be done by 12 noon. But the good part was that they gave facility to keep luggage and provided a good clean bathroom and shower area to fresh up before leaving.

Pros: I left my passport and staff was very kind and helpful.
