Pros: This boutique hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to major tourist attractions, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. There’s a great mix of local and international eateries just steps away, along with a hipster café and a cool cocktail bar nearby—perfect for unwinding after a day out. A nice bonus is the famous local scent shop and eyewear store located on the ground floor, which adds a unique local touch to the experience. The hotel itself features a contemporary design with tasteful aesthetics and thoughtful landscaping, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and all the basic necessities needed for a relaxing stay. It’s an ideal choice for free-spirited travelers who appreciate good design, comfort, and a vibrant neighborhood. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Cons: As expected in Penang, street parking can be challenging during the day, but it's much easier to find spaces in the evening.

Pros: Room well designed, clean and has all you need. A/C is strong and the stonewall is a great feature. Location is excellent and please note that entrance is via a cosmetic/perfume shop.

Cons: Our room was small, and no window. We had a short day so we do not mind.

Pros: Extremely clean hotel with a modern, artistic design. Cleanliness is easily 5-star. Well maintained, comfortable, and definitely great value for money.

Cons: No water bottles, not a big issue, bought from nearby mart.

Pros: This hotel stands out for its thoughtfully curated design, retaining elements of the original structure while making exceptional use of the room’s layout. The space felt immaculate and very well maintained. Hot water was consistently piping hot, and the shower pressure was impressively strong, which made the stay especially comfortable. The location is also highly convenient, and the owner and staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and helpful throughout. Overall, it’s a place I would happily return to, and I would definitely recommend it.

Cons: Since the hotel is located above street-level shops, you may hear some traffic noise at times, but that’s part of the charm and character of the old-town setting. If there’s one small improvement to consider, it would be offering complimentary earplugs for guests who may need them.

Overall, it’s okay. The price is reasonable, and I would stay here again.

Pros: The hotel is cozy, new, and very convenient. Comfortable stay overall.

Cons: The stairs are quite steep. Lighting in the bathroom is a bit dim, and there is no TV in the room.

Cute Hotel in a Prime Location

Pros: The hotel is located in a prime location and located above this cute apothecary shop with some great bath and body products, which I bought some goodies to bring back! Good Michelin level restaurant and bars that are walking distance from the hotel. I liked the decor and aesthetic of the building and hotel room with the stairs.

Cons: There isn’t a reception desk for check-in but the workers are quick to check you in when arriving on the property. The hotel is rather new so there were some small inconveniences but not a big deal, even though I had the appropriate plugs for the outlet, they were still not going in. The staff was able to bring me theirs and that worked.

Cons: Pas de service hors ménage - chambre petite, parfois sans fenêtre (bien vérifié au moment de la réservation)
