A Cozy Place Penang

Pros: The best thing about this place is the location: it just can't be beat! Also, the owner/manager is super helpful when it comes to local recommendations, as well as with regard to onward travel. It's surprisingly quiet, also at night. Intermittent cleaning is available upon request.

Cons: Our room had no window, which you do get used to (and the dehumidifier device in the room works well). The room was quite spartan though. The place would benefit from (more) art/colour on the walls

Pros: It’s realy cozy! Everyting working nicely. Atmosphere is welcoming, respectful and peaceful.

Pros: Nice clean room, good bathroom. Shared area was clean and tidy. Kitchen was also good. Bed was comfy. It was nice to have a little desk in the room as well. Check in was quick and easy

Cons: Not social at all. The extractor fan had to stay on in the bathroom you couldn't turn it off. This with the ac as well was really loud all night. There was also a scent thing which made a loud noise every hour I ended up taking the battery's out. Toilet was so close to the wall you had to sit sideways on it!

Basic but comfortable

Pros: A basic room with standard facilities but in a great location within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit. Perfect for a two night stay.

Nice hidden gem!

Pros: The place is a nice little gem with great location! The staff was very nice, it was always clean and tidy in every area!

Cons: The pillows are really hard!

Pros: The room was very quiet and modern, a great stay. Location is good for George town, local markets and bars. The staff were very attentive.

Pros: The facilities were very clean, great location and amenities. The rooms are simple but comfortable. Free water and snacks are available in the kitchen

Cons: Small issues such as a large crack space the door where light from the hallway shines in the room at night

Pros: An absolutely wonderful stay! The owner is truly amazing — always kind, welcoming, and full of great recommendations that allowed us to discover Penang like locals. Thanks to her tips, we found some fantastic places to eat and visit. The property itself is spotless, with perfectly clean rooms and shared areas. The air conditioning works really well, and the ventilation system keeps the air fresh and comfortable. Not having windows was never an issue at all — we actually slept very well in a cool and pleasant atmosphere. The overall vibe is cozy and friendly, making you feel at home right away. Thank you again for the warm hospitality and great energy — we will keep such a wonderful memory of our stay at The Cozy Place!

Peaceful perfection!

Pros: Received a free upgrade and early check in which was absolutely lovely! Staff were so kind and accommodating. Room was lovely, great facilities and perfect location. Felt super safe the whole time.

Cons: Only thing I could fault was the pillows weren’t quite to my liking (very insignificant and I just stacked them!)
