Pros: great boutique accomodation that is right behind 1st avenue mall. very rustic and chill vibe. daily breakfast was great as well. will definitely bring my family and friends the next time I am back in Penang.

A wonderful hotel

Pros: I have rarely if ever posted a review of a hotel. I stay in a lot of them for work. I stayed here with family over CNY for a few days, including my sister's two young children. I was blown away. The staff were just so gracious, accommodating and helpful. The property is lovely and very well designed - the rooms are great, and the dining area is charming. We brought back food in the evening and the staff plated it up for us. A calm little oasis in an interesting part of town.

Cons: Nothing.

This was a fabulous gem in the middle of George Town.

Pros: The room was lovely. Lots of space and very clean. The staff were really helpful . Great location for George Town. Quick check in and lots of advice and tips on what to do from reception staff. Lovely turn down service - little gifts were lovely. Great laundry service.

Cons: Not enough vegetarian options at breakfast. More variety for breakfast would be good too. Would have been nice to have an in room service for food.

Gem of a hotel

Pros: This is a gem of a place. The staff are amazing, so helpful and they really go out of their way to make your stay special from a birthday board, cake and candle to the little treats left every evening. The pool is a bonus after a day exploring Georgetown. The staff gave us a list of vegetarian restaurants to try which was a real help. Would definitely recommend staying here

Boutique hotel, beautifully restored.

Pros: Exceptional attention to detail, professional demeanour of staff, everything possible done to make our stay a positive one. Cannot fault the rooms or the service provided. Location is good for the sights of Georgetown and beyond. A small and intimate historical building, thoughtfully renovated. The pool is perfect for a dip after a day in the heat.

Cons: Perhaps a space needed before arrival and being given all the information about the local area. If one has had a long day travelling, one needs a little time to decompress.

Well located, cool and beautiful historical hotel with lovely staff

Pros: The rooms are lovely, so comfortable and cool, we slept very well. The staff were great and gave us recommendations on the local area, and popped in regularly to clean the rooms and give us snacks! Breakfast was excellent too, lots of options and very tasty. This hotel is beautiful and great value for money!

Cons: Nothing at all!

A classy establishment providing brilliant accommodation and service.

Pros: The staff were knowledgeable and very professional whilst being friendly.

Cons: No tea making facility in the room. I am not much of a coffee drinker.
