Perfect

Pros: A little gem in old George Town, full of character, very polite staff, great location

Cons: Not having a restaurant or bar

Pros: I loved the feel of staying in a heritage home such as this Mansion, with its old world charm. I chose it for its close proximity to the places of interest too. We stayed in a pretty downstair room with windows that had blinds, but the light from outside filtered in somehow.

Cons: I felt the rooms were slightly dusty. There were no options for freshly brewed coffee nor tea in the morning, except for the little DIY coffee station. I would have also loved it if the staff welcomed us warmly when we checked in. They were otherwise very helpful when I requested for extra pillows and sheets, and other requests. Overall we had a nice 2 day stay.

Nice property with spacious rooms

Pros: Convenient location with nice cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Love the courtyard- could feel the calmness as soon as we walk through the gate. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Free snacks, fruits and drinks for guests which are much appreciated. We didn’t get to use the pool but it is nice that it is available. The room is spacious and the bed is spacious and comfortable! And we love the decor with cultural elements!

Cons: Some small things that can be improved on: - lots of ants in the bathroom (by the sink) and clearly they have a home in that room… there are also some by the bedside table close to the bathroom. - the shower pressure and hot water is not stable. - And impossible to use the head shower properly as after a couple of minutes it switches back to the other one…

Best boutique hotel I've been to in Georgetown.

Pros: If you want a close by place, old style, and to live in what the house could look like in the olden time this is the best. You can hear the Azan, prayer. With brass all over and a nice small but very old-style pool. I loved every second of it and by far the hardest place to leave in my trip to Malaysia.

Cons: The mattress is a bit hard.

Pros: Great decor, facilities and vibe. Friendly staff, and complimentary ice cream and breakfast bread. Good location close to New World food centre.

Cons: The bathroom needs maintenance. Water pressure and temperature were inconsistent and weak for 3 nights. We asked at front desk for maintenance to check, but it didn't improve afterwards. The bathroom sink plug mechanism also gets easily stuck. Also, there were spots of mould in the shower cubicle.

Amazing! Would stay again!

Charming boutique hotel, family friendly & great location

Pros: Absolutely charming boutique hotel in a nice part of Penang where you’re still in a quiet area but an easy walk or Grab to the closest places of interest, malls, eateries etc. I loved the Mansion Villa room as it was like a little house and great for our family of 3 with a toddler who could enjoy playing downstairs or in the outdoor courtyard. Our toddler also loved the outdoor fountain, pool and nearby local playground. The staff were really nice and accomodating. We also loved the communal dining table as we had multiple rooms/families on the trip we could congregate there, dining facilities to use & air con.

Cons: Tiny piece was just the cot was not up to scratch on arrival, it was quite well used and didn’t have a sufficient mattress which for the price we paid per night for just the additional cot did not meet my expectation. However, the staff took my feedback and addressed it by adding/buying a mattress so we were happy with the resolution :)

Pros: The unique historic ambiance created by the design and furnishings. The quiet and peacefulness. Family suite- very comfortable for 4 people but since 4 people is sharing one space, you can easiy step out of the room to the thoughtfully arranged common areas to speak without disturbing your room mates. The mansion was surrounded by several good eateries within 5 mins walk.

Pros: Beautiful heritage building, all the amenities you need, good size rooms, good location. Plenty to recommend staying here

Pros: Very nice property and friendly staff. Convenient distance to old town and a nice swimming pool.

Cons: Our room (no 9) was beautiful but had a distinct smell of mould. The common areas did not smell in that way so do not know if that was the case only for our room.
