Pros: The room was very nice and spacious and the bathroom too. It was clean and cozy. The staff was kind and the breakfast was good. Plenty of choice for everyone. The pool is in a bit unusual spot but it’s nice to have it. It was a bit cold though when we were there.

Pros: I had stayed at the George 25 years ago it was great to see how it had been renovated. It’s a very smart, stylish hotel,

Comfortable and in great location.

Pros: The building is impressive and the staff were super friendly. The room was of a good size and generally clean. The room was amply stocked with amenities that are useful, plus free initial drinks from the in=room bar.

Cons: The room was generally very clean apart from the details. We found that the top of the stem of the bedside light were dusty. Then both of us tripped over a loose piece of the wooden floorboard. When reported, it was quickly dealt with, and a piece of masking tape was put on top to assist the glue drying out. We were told that the tape will be removed the next day. However it was not for the duration of our stay. As a class hotel, I think that the eye for detail is missing. The loose piece of wood is in a prominent spot and in main area of foot traffic. Should have been noticed and repaired, and not necessitate the guest to endure an unsightly repair throughout their stay.

Pros: This was a fantastic hotel. Right in the middle of town. Great, clean facilities. Pool was great and had a steam room. Room was large and spacious. Bar and general hotel was great.
